Transformers: Dark of the Moon is a 2011 sci fi, action film directed by Michael Bay based on the Transformers toy line. The film is the third installment in the Transformers film series and serves as a sequel to 2009’s Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. The story picks up three years after the previous film, with the Autobots, who along with the military discover a hidden alien technology that was found 42 years earlier by Apollo 11. However, the Decepticons unveil a plan to use the technology to enslave humanity in order to restore the planet of the Transformers called Cybertron.
