DragonBall Z is a 1989 action-adventure martial arts Japanese anime created by Akira Toriyama, serving as a sequel series to DragonBall. The series follows main protagonist Goku who, as well as his friends and fellow Z Warriors, protect Earth and the universe from various threats.
